A collection is a group of objects that share something in common,
usually a collection will have a theme or subject that links all the items together.
For example, the items in your collection might be linked by the same colour, or a subject, such as, the Ocean, or trees…

Whether you buy/collect Art for fun or as your biggest passion,
join us as Passing Place Curator Deirdre MacKenna chats about curating exhibitions and building collections to tell stories about the world around us.

Amongst many fascinating things, we’ll be talking about focusing a collection around a theme or subject; building up conversations with artists whose works resonate with us; working within budgets; and the buzz and rewards of having a collection (no matter how small) that you have worked to create.
